Usually it's the local Eagles club making the donations to help out groups and persons throughout the North Baltimore area. But Thursday night it was different in Downtown NB, as Glen Machnicki of Fostoria, and a member of the local John W. Sterling Aerie #2633, made a donation of $2,000

to the local organization, who's motto is: "People Helping People."

Machnicki, who was able to retire in 2008, said that he likes to give and it's a tax write-off. Glen also recently made a similar donation to the West Milgrove Fire Department. The Eagles officers all thanked Machnicki for his donation.
