Downtown North Baltimore continues to have plenty of activity in regards to openings and closings. One business moves out (for various reasons), but in recent months, another one moves right back in. That is the case with "The Rack", which has opened where Ashley's Closest was located, under the Haynes sign, at 124 North Main Street.

North Baltimore graduate, Michele Mossbarger-Melendez, has opened "The Rack", a clothing and consignment shop.

The plans for expansion, sort of worked out in reverse, as Michele had hoped to open her new business in the former newspaper office at 114 North Main. Her plans for that location will include consignments, custom clothing and costumes. Tapping into her experience in seamstressing (?),clothing design and association with a talented group of people, who will likely participate in this new venture.


Michelle has been working hard to remodel the former newspaper office on North Main Street.

The remodeling of the new location is taking longer than expected, so to get a start in Downtown NB, she has temporarily located a few doors to the north.
