Happy New Year. My how the time flies. I can't believe that 3 of my older scouts are on their last year. Cody, Robert, Logan. They have really grown in their scouting careers. I hope they can finish their Eagle projects in time.

We finally have snow and our video game night was a hit, Blizzard and all. Twas midnight and most of us were out having a snowball fight and sledding in the park. Although we were unable to go to Q-zar, we made do chowing on pizza, listening to music and video games all around. XBOX, to PS2 to NES. We had it all. Too bad we have to wait a whole year to do it again. Hmm sarcasm.

New year means new charter. We lost a few scouts and adult committee members due to sports and other activities, but I see a few more coming our way. With Blue & Gold around the corner. Webelos II recruits are in our sights. We see you Levi :)

Motor Home Update

We have just sold enough tickets for the repairs to the motor home. Please consider purchasing a raffle ticket . I have included some interior picks hoping to get everyone excited about winning the RV.

There are still 470 tickets out there to be bought. Pick them up at Dennis Miller Insurance (East Broadway), The Depot Business Mall (North Main) and Cyber Solutions (South Main). Or just find a scout and they can help you. Remember, all proceeds will go towards Boy Scout Troop 315.

We are currently brainstorming on the ability to go to the National Jamboree in 2015 but cost would be the biggest of hurdles. If we can raise enough, This would be the first time since the 1950's that any of our scouts got to attend a Jamboree. The RV would give us a good start.

Scout Supplies

Since me and E bay get along way too well, I have a good supply of scout uniforms, Both Cub and Boy , old and new. Also, patches and numbers. If you need a hat, shirt, pants,shorts or socks or anything else, stop into Cyber Solutions and see whats on hand. I also make frequent stops to the Black Swamp council scout shop and order anything not in stock.

Winter Camp

February 1 – 3 is our district camporee at Miakonda. Boy scouts and Webelos II are invited to this event. Klondike sled races, Snow ball, DJ and Root beer social + all the fun a scout can have in the snow including falling in the stream, Noah P, The menu for the scouts is Friday, Stir Fry , Saturday breakfast; - omelets, lunch;- cold cut subs & chips, Supper;- Tacos & for Sunday breakfast;- cold cereal. A grocery list will be going out to parents .
