A special meeting of the North Baltimore Local Board of Education was held on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at 6:00pm in the MS/HS Complex.
There was one item on the published agenda: The Sale of the property on Second St. that was the site of the former MS/HS.
The meeting was convened by Board President, Tami Thomas. Board member, Tim Archer was absent from the meeting.
Board member, Jaimye Bushey read a lengthy statute that deals with the sale of public property. She and Board member, Cheryl Cotterman, voiced concern that the process may not have been followed correctly. The Superintendent, Ryan Delaney said he would check with our legal team to obtain clarification.
This was not an executive session and the public was invited to attend. All deliberations and comments were made in public session.
As announced, no action was taken.
Although there was other dialogue that became part of the meeting and, as such, are part of the public record, the observations and other statements were not related to the announced agenda of this meeting.
No vote was taken and the meeting was adjourned at 7:13pm.
The regular meeting of the North Baltimore Local Board of Education will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at 6:00pm in the MS/HS Complex.
