On 02-10-13 the NBPD conducting response to Active Shooter Training. Due to the recent School Shootings, Police Tactics and response has drastically changed from common practices over the last decade. In order to ensure that NBPD is up to date to the most current tactics we conducted training at the High School.

The training provided the Officers with an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the design and layout of the new school as well as, It also provided the space to perform the new tactics in a real world atmosphere.

Chief baer advised, "The training went very well. We added a level of realism to elevate the stress in an attempt to simulate a real active shooter scenario". "I think we learned a lot and should be able to respond more effectively if the need arises".

NBPD want to thanks the NB School District for their great cooperation for permitting the use of the school and staff.
