St. Luke's Lutheran Church -- Wednesday, February 13

Lenten Weekday Worship will begin on Ash Wednesday, February 13 at 7:15 p.m. at St. Luke's Lutheran Church.

Pastor Ralph Mineo will begin a weekly Lenten sermon series titled: "Six Myths That Can Make Us Miserable." The first sermon is titled: "MYTH #1 -- It's All About Me."

As worship begins, the traditional "Imposition of Ashes" on the forehead will be observed, to signify our sinfulness and mortality.

Following Holy Communion, a contemporary ceremony of "Washing Off the Ashes" will be observed to signify God's forgiveness of sins, our baptismal call as disciples, and the ultimate victory over death promised in the Sacrament.

The Junior Choir will continue to have rehearsals at 6:30 (ending a bit earlier) during Lent. Senior Choir will rehearse during Lent following Wednesday worship.
