God will never leave you nor forsake you! The problem is that we can forget God! Most of the world and even Christians are relying on themselves first instead of looking to God first. We need to put God first in our lives. He is wanting to help us with all of our needs. He takes pleasure in helping. God does not control every step of our lives. He does not just sit back and let things happen to people. Do you know God? Do you know what He has already done for you?

When I was first told about God and Him wanting to have a loving Father and son relationship with me, my friend Rob told me that God was love, but He was also a just God. God sent His Son to reconcile us back to Him. The problem with the world is that a lot of us are rejecting God. I did until I was thirty-three!

I have not regretted one time of choosing to become a Christian. I know that it can be frustrating looking at Christians and church’s that aren’t as loving as they could be. The reason it is frustrating is that we are looking at the people in the church as perfect and forgetting that God is the perfect one! I am not letting Christians off of the hook for bad, unloving behavior, but Christians forget to let God’s Spirit work through them to show God’s type of love.

So I ask a favor of you today North Baltimore. Please extend forgiveness to anyone who has hurt you. If it was a Christian, and the hurt caused you to leave church, please extend forgiveness and remember that God is the reason for coming to church. He will help us all get along if we let Him work through us! We are His creation, not the other way around! Let God!
