The North Baltimore Board of Education met Tuesday evening, holding two executive sessions, hiring two new varsity coaches and rejected the $68,000 bid for the school land at 124 South Second.
Four NBHS students who were selected for the Northwest Ohio Honors Band and Choirs, Cody Switzer, Brittany Daughenbaugh, Allison Beaupry and Andrew Shelton, were honored to start the meeting.
During the meeting, with board member Jaimye Bushey absent, the board voted unanimously to hire Greg Bishop as Varsity Football Coach and Rachel Ousley as Varsity Volleyball Coach.
The board also voted 4 - 0 to reject the $68,000 bid made by Charlie Kelley for the school lot at 124 South Second Street. There was no comment regarding, out of courtesy to contact Kelley with the rejection. The school board will now likely list the property with a Realtor.
BGSU and Tiffin Columbian graduate Greg Bishop will take over the reigns of the Tiger Football program. Bishop currently coaches at Brooke Point High School in Stafford, Virginia, as a varsity assistant and junior varsity head coach. Bishop will be returning to the area in June, with a new bride, Kaitlyn, who is a graduate of Hopewell-Loudon. He currently teaches technology education at Brooke Point.
Jesse Thomas was named varsity track head coach for boys and girls, while Rachel Ousley will become the new varsity volleyball head coach. Jeff Miklovic was rehired as Varsity Golf Coach and Bradlee Rowlinson as Varsity Cross Country Coach. Several assistants and volunteer assistants were approved for several sports. |
