Dalton Ishmael battled Ryan Weber from Loudonville in the semi finals of the OHSAA Wrestling Tournament. Ishmael, Ohio's "Pin King" (154), picked up 4 points in the first period and maintained control of the match, winning 6 - 1.
Dalton's overall record is now 178 - 15 (with nine losses his freshman season). He hasn't had to go the distance more than a couple of dozen times in his career, but showed his patience and persistence in this match, to advance over Weber.
from Ferg on the Floor:

Dalton is able to put the opponent into a vulnerable position, that makes them very uncomfortable.

Dalton was always the aggressor in the match, although he utilized wisely placed temperance, in going the distance.

Control is the name of the game when your opponent has determined that he will not be pinned and is strong enough to make it so.

Dalton doesn't get too excited (on the outside), so this rare moment of exuberance is allowed (again) from this humble, hard working young man!

Congrats from (and to) Coaches Brian King and Jesse Thomas. |
