Posting Date: 10/25/2014

JP Miklovic

The North Baltimore High School Tiger Football team traveled to Bascom for a Blanchard Valley Conference, Valley Division contest with Hopewell- Loudon.

The Chieftains (4 - 5; 2 - 2 Valley) went to the air to score three TD's in just over 12 minutes to put NB back on their heals, taking a commanding 41 - 6 half-time lead.

After H-L hit on two TD passes, NB scored on a Lane Bishop to Shawn Watson 23 yard pass at the 2:43 mark in the 1st quarter, to be down just 14 - 6 after one. But H-L scored on 25 yard TD pass on the first play of the 2nd quarter, on their way to 4 scores before half.

NB rushed the ball for 113 yards on 28 carries. With 257 yards through the air for 370 total yards.

Lane Biship ran the ball 17 times for 38 yards, completing 20 of 33 passes for 257 yards, with 3 TD's, but 4 interceptions.

Taylor Bishop ran the ball 11 times for 75 yards, catching 2 passes for 11 yards. Watson had 4 catches for 93 yards and a score. Noah Brian had 4 catches for 25 yards. Christian Richmond had 2 catches for 45 yards and a TD. Levi Newcomer had 8 catches for 79 yards and one TD.

Hopewell-Loudon picked up 215 rushing yards on 27 attempts (Runion 109 yards - 11 carries); 296 yards through the air (Runion 17 of 26 - 5 TD's). Foos led H-L in receiving with 8 catches for 161 yards and 3 scores.

The Tigers fall to 4 - 5; 0 - 4 in the Valley Division. NB welcomes Vanule (1 - 8) on Friday (10/31) for Senior Night. Vanlue lost to Leipsic 42 - 14 last night. The Wildcats will come into NB with nothing to lose, hoping to knock off the Tigers and finish their season on a winning note. The Tigers on the other hand started out with promising wins, but have faultered the past 3 weeks, and found the going generally pretty rough in the BVC.
