There was much activity in Columbus this past weekend (March 1, 2013), at the Schottenstein Center, on the Ohio State University Campus, where the OHSAA Wrestling Tournaments were held. In it's 76th year, this event has many traditions and ceremonies that we share in photos.

Warming up for the event ahead of time

Many honors were bestowed upon all sorts of folks, two of which have North Baltimore School connections. Hank Zaborniak was an adminstrator at NB schools and Dave Lee, Elmwood's Wrestling Coach, taught OWE at NBHS, many moon ago. We will have additional information in future posts.

The fireworks to kick off the Parade of Champions was nothing compared to the "fireworks" that we would witness in the D - III - 195 Finals.

Our "heros" - quite different - but much the same!

Dalton gets his name (and his home town) in lights!

The "excitement" builds as the time to enter the arena nears.

This culminating podium ceremony is just a part of why a champion does what he does. While the disappointment is very evident on Dalton's face, he can not and will not hang his head in shame, as HE was on that Championship mat, for what has to be one of THE classic Division III bouts, at 195 pounds of all time!

And one final view of the Jumbo - tron (or IS it?)
If you are wondering where the action shots are, they are coming in a separate posting(s).
Finally, BELOW is one of those abstract shots that you somehow get, you don't know why, but you are amazed by the "beauty". Can't blame this photo on Ferg, it was shot by JP!
